GM SM465 2wd to Toyota Land Cruiser 19 Spline Transfer Case Adapter

 

The GM SM465 4 speed manual adapter to the Land Cruiser 19 spline “split style” transfer case is 4.625” in length. And the adapter material is 356 T6 heat treated aluminum alloy and has an optional transmission mount provision. The adapter kit includes an adapter plate, adapter housing, 35 x 19 spline spud shaft, Toyota retainer, bushing / gear locater, bearing, set collar, gaskets, fastening hardware and adapter instructions.

 

 

This adapter assembly fits August 1980 to 1989 transfer cases. The transfer case design was changed to a split-case design configuration with a 19 tooth internal spline on the input gear. Additional information can be obtained in our Land Cruiser Conversion Manual, TLC001.

 

 

This adapter assembly is designed for exclusive use with the 2wd, GM SM465 4 speed manual with a 35 spline output shaft. This top loaded heavy-duty transmission has a cast iron case, and is 12” in length. It was used in GM trucks from 1968 to 1988. The SM465 was used in both 2wd & 4wd applications with 3 various output shaft spline counts of 10, 32, & 35 splines.
