The Ford T-18 adapter to the Cruiser 16 spline transfer case is 4.262” in length and adapter material is 356 T6 heat treated aluminum alloy. The adapter kit includes an adapter housing, 16 spline spud shaft, new T-18 output shaft, o-ring, sealed bearing, gaskets, fastening hardware, and adapter instructions.
Transfer Case
This adapter assembly fits 1974 to July 1980 16 spline transfer cases. The drive gear has 16 internal splines and a diameter of 1.259”. The transfer case bolt pattern is the same as the earlier 3 speed transfer cases. Additional information can be obtained in our Land Cruiser Conversion Manual, TLC001.
Transmission
This kit is designed for exclusive use with the Ford T-18. The Ford version of the T-18 was used from 1967 until 1984 model years and was used in 2wd & 4wd truck applications. It’s a heavy duty 4 speed with a cast iron case and top cover. The case length is 11.187” and on the driver’s side of the case will be casting number of T-18 or 13-01 with a PTO cover plate found on the passenger side and/or driver’s side.
