Ford NP435 to Toyota Land Cruiser 16 Spline Transfer Case Adapter

 

The Ford NP435 4 speed adapter to the Land Cruiser 16 spline transfer case is 3.250” in length. The adapter material is 356 T6 heat treated aluminum alloy and has a provision for a transmission mount. The adapter kit includes an adapter housing, 16 spline spud, gaskets, fastening hardware and adapter instructions.

Note: Adapter housing to NP435 bolt pattern is dual drilled to fit both 2wd & 4wd transmission cases.

 

 

This adapter assembly fits 1974 to July 1980 16 spline transfer cases. The drive gear has 16 internal splines and a diameter of 1.259”. The transfer case bolt pattern is the same as the earlier 3 speed transfer cases. The kit is designed for exclusive use with the Ford NP435. The Ford version NP435 was used from 1964 until 1985, and was used in 4wd & 2wd trucks. This 4 speed has a cast iron case and aluminum top cover. The case length is 10.187”. 2^nd through 4^th gears are synchronized with 1^st and reverse gears non- synchronized.
